Tour Descripion:
Lahaul and Spiti are two remote Himalayan valleys of Himachal Pradesh lying in the Indo-Tibetan border. The climate is dry and very cold and the valley has snow covered peaks almost throughout the year. High mountains surround the valley from all sides, with the great Himalayan to the north and Pir Panjal to the south. The jeep safari from Manali to the Lahul valley starts in the month of June and ends in October. The safari takes 4 days in total.
 
 
 
ITINERARY DETAILS:

Day 1 : Manali to Keylong:
We take you from Manali to Keylong which is a drive of about 6 hours and at a distance of 115 km.

Day 2 : Khardong and Shashur Gompa:

Then we visit Khardong and Shashur Gompa. It is situated on the left bank of the Banga river, above the Khardong village facing Keylong and is around 5 km from Keylong.
From here we drive down to Udaipur and Triloknath temple.

Day 3 : Udaipur and Triloknath Temple:

We drive down to Triloknath temple, which is situated at a distance50 km from Keylong and is easily approachable by road. Dedicated to Mrikula Devi, it was constructed during the 15th century by the king of Chamba and his Lahauli feudal chief. The temple has Hindu architecture with fine wooden carvings. Originally a Hindu temple was later converted to Buddhism, by installing the statue of Phagpa Chrinzik. Originally it was dedicated to the Pandvas who spent a few days over here during their exile. The temple is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhist.

Day 3 : Back to Manali:

From here we move back to Manali, and drive down for eight hours, which is about 166 km from Udaipur through the same route.
