THE BENGAL TIGER

The Bengal Tiger is one of the sub species of the Tiger. Being India’s National Animal, it is one of the most protected animals in the wild. With a tawny coat and stripes darker than the night, it is an amazingly beautiful animal. Much akin to the fingerprints of a human no two stripes of a tiger are alike.
The White Bengal tiger is not a subspecies of the Bengal Tiger, but a Bengal Tiger with just a different coat color. It is born of the Bengal Tiger only. It gets its white colored coat from a recessive gene. Only if the two tigers mating both carry this recessive gene, then only the offspring is born with a white colored coat. Sometimes a white tiger can be spotted in the Jungles of Rewa.
